FORT WASHINGTON -- vwin德赢娱乐's boys and girls swimming and diving teams took down visiting Lawrenceville School on Tuesday at the Lavino Pool to open the 2023-24 season. GA's boys won their meet, 98-82, while the girls won, 96-80.

The meet was highlighted by a record-breaking performance by Andy Zhou '24, who went 55.58 in the 100 Breaststroke to best the record of 56.40 set by former Olympian, David Wharton '87. Zhou said that he felt tired going into the race, but expected to break the record after swimming under the time at a meet in Indianapolis just last week.

"It's exciting and it was definitely a small goal of mine," Zhou said. "Breaking records is something we're used to and it's a testament to the teams that we've had over the years."

The Patriots return to the pool on 12月. 12 when they head to The Haverford School for a 3:45pm meet. The boys will be taking on the Fords, while the girls will go against Agnes Irwin School.
